Progress Housing

Progress Housing Group has joined Digital Unite’s Digital Champions Network to support their drive to enable their customers to be part of the digital world.

The Lancashire-based housing provider owns and manages over 10,000 properties in Lancashire and across the UK. Joining as part of the national Lottery funded One Digital programme, they will recruit and train volunteers from their local communities as Digital Champions who can go on to provide ongoing digital skills support to their customers.

Diane Nash, Progress Opportunities Manager at Progress Housing Group said “Many of our customers are unable to access digital services due to lack of skills or access. By recruiting and training Digital Champions we can work to improve this and give our customers greater confidence to get online. From accessing cheaper services to improving training and employment opportunities and reducing social isolation, it can all have a positive effect on our surrounding communities. Being a part of the Digital Champions Network gives us a structured foundation from which to deliver meaningful digital skills support and achieve our digital inclusion aspirations.”
