The Advice Skills Academy (ASA) has joined our Digital Champions Network to help their partner organisations’ staff and volunteers develop their digital skills.

The ASA is a European Social Fund funded project which aims to address higher level skills shortages in specialist advice services and provide opportunities to improve workforce skills, knowledge, progression and productivity.

Joining the Digital Champions Network as part of the Lottery funded One Digital programme enables the ASA to offer quality assured training and support for 50 digital skills mentors from local Citizens Advice and other partner organisations in the Liverpool City region.

Liz Reed, Advice Skills Academy Project Manager said: “Our partners are really excited about becoming part of the Digital Champions Network. It means we can provide staff and volunteers with the tools and structure they need to develop their roles as digital enablers in their workforces.”

About the Digital Champions Network

Digital Unite’s Digital Champions Network is a unique and comprehensive training and support system for aspiring and experienced Digital Champions. It offers a wide range of self-study and CPD accredited online courses to develop a Digital Champion’s skillset and meet different learner needs. All of the courses are linked to the national Open Badges schemes to evidence personal and professional development. There is also a structured Resource Centre collating over 500 ready-to-use training and teaching resources and a web app enabling Champions to record their learner interactions quickly and easily.
