We had a great time at ND 2012 this week chatting to people about what we do at Digital Unite and specifically about our online learning and the Digital Champions ITQ and hot-off-the-moodle Quick Start - Helping beginners get (and stay) online course.  More information about both these courses here.

It was a full agenda with talks and workshops throughout the two days in Old Billingsgate, London. Right on the river, and opposite the almost complete Shard, it’s a fascinating location and we all enjoyed stepping out to watch the Thames shoot past either east or west and all the activity taking place on it. I saw many old friends and made some new ones, and must give a special mention to Ability Net who had a sort of encampment, as opposed to stand, were dressed up in Star Trek outfits for a large part of the two days, and who delivered a really fascinating talk on adaptive technologies.

Congratulations to Darren Wood from WM (West Mercia) Housing Group whose business card was drawn out in the prize draw on day 2, and who has won a Digital Champions ITQ course. I’ll post some pictures a bit later. Many thanks to all of you who stopped by to say hello and also to our friends at Citizens Online/ BT and UK online centres, our stand neighbours for two days, with whom we shared many minutes of banter and discourse, and Refreshers and Parma Violets and all manner of other truly unhealthy slightly fizzy sugar filled snacks.

What do we do?

Find out how we can help you run successful digital inclusion programmes.

What is Digital Inclusion

Why does it matter? And what can be done about it? We've pulled together some great resources.
