A hyperlink – more commonly known as a 'link' – allows you to navigate your way around a website. It's a graphic or piece of text that literally links you directly to another web page or related information source. Hyperlinks are usually underlined, highlighted or coloured in some way to distinguish them from the rest of the text displayed, allowing you to click on them with your mouse to access this new page or additional information.
