As part of a Knowledge Transfer Project funded by the Open University, Digital Unite have collaborated with Professor Jane Seale to create a set of five short, practical guides aimed at helping supporters or Digital Champions to get people with learning disabilities to understand whether they would like to use technology, advocate their technology needs and choose the right technology for them. The guides are complemented by two session plans, that contain two suggested activities to get people with learning disabilities thinking about technology and how they could use it.
The information in the guides and suggested links and activities have been informed from Jane's Toolkit for supporting people with learning disabilities to use technology (2021).
The guides
These short, printable guides can be used as a set, or individually, depending on the person you are helping existing interest and knowledge in technology. All of the guides are freely available to read, download and share!
