Enlisting 102 Digital Champions to the Affinity Sutton Get Connected project and seeing the programme shortlisted in the TPAS Awards 2013 have been two great reasons to celebrate this month.
Since we launched the Digital Champion project last February (2013) with this leading housing provider, the project to create and support the Affinity Sutton army of Digital Champions has gone from strength to strength. So far this excellent network has helped over 600 residents to use the internet delivering over 1,600 learning sessions, and now we’ve tipped the hundred mark, it’s on track to help many more residents in the coming months and years. We are also delighted to see these achievements recognised as a front runner in the Excellence in Digital Engagement category at the TPAS Awards 2014. Competition is stiff so we’re keeping everything crossed for when the winners are announced at this industry event on 14 February.
Meanwhile, it’s business as usual as, together with Affinity Sutton, we help the Digital Champions through courses, resources, grants and community support to engage and inspire more residents to get online.
