The unique beauty of Spring Online is the richness and diversity of the digital taster events which are run by local people for local people, and 2013 is looking to be no exception.

This April, hundreds of events are being held in a variety of venues from Carphone Warehouse and Marks and Spencers stores to housing providers, Age UK branches to libraries, churches to IT centres, coffee shops to community centres, colleges to schools. There are also events for people with visual and hearing impairments.

Among the more unusual venues for 2013 are a pub, a candle shop and a cinema.

  • Wiltshire Council’s Wiltshire Online team is hosting their Spring Online event at The George Inn in Mere. On Tuesday 23 April between 10am and 2pm the team will be showing people how easy digital technology can be when you know how. From shopping online to using Facebook, no query is too small or too stupid
  • In Bristol Citizens Online will be introducing cinema-goers at the Odeon in Union Street to the wonders of tablets at their event on Thursday 25 April.
  • On Friday 26 April at Potters Crouch Candle Shop in St Albans staff there will be helping people to surf the web whilst enjoy the relaxing aroma of scented candles.

To find a Spring Online event people can call 0800 77 1234 or use our event-finder map on our website.

If you're quick why not join in the fun and register your own event.
