This year’s Spring Online campaign (20 - 26 April) saw hundreds of events held across the UK to help inspire local people to have a lasting use of the internet.

Hanover Housing ran an ‘Info in your Pocket’ event which showed their residents how to get the most out of their smartphones. There was even a fish and chip lunch included as well!

NPT Homes ran a number of Spring Online events across the week in partnership with their local Library Services, Coastal Housing and Communities First.

Learners were helped to try out different equipment such as tablets, chromebooks and laptops and to look at web browsers, shopping online and applying for benefits using the new Universal Credit system.

One group of housing tenants were also helped to look at using price comparison sites to help them find the right deal from energy providers. This support was given in response to the tenants having their energy supply changed from communal heating to individual boilers.
