We’re  co-running an event with for village halls/ community buildings on how to get and use WiFi for maximum effect. Getting connected to WiFi is a common problem, particularly in rural areas, but it can solve a host of problems - reducing costs, boosting incomes - and all importantly, making it possible to run Digital Champion sessions!

We've teamed up with Action with Communities in Cumbria  to host the event for village halls and community buildings across the area. They'll be opportunities to:

  • hear from places that have already installed WiFi and the benefits it has brought
  • find out more about free WiFI from Jangala
  • details from us and AbilityNet on what's available around digital skills training in the area
  • a workshop of the new Inspire for the Public Sector
  • talk and share ideas with like minded people in similar situations!

It’s on Saturday 5th April in Braithwaite and it's invite only.  Email Sarah, our Cumbria co-ordinator if you'd like more details.
