“Congratulations on a well-designed new site - I look forward to using it” Robert, Digital Champion for Hyde
The Digital Champions Network for Housing (DCN4H) has just been relaunched and now boasts updated training courses, improved functionality and the ability to use it via any mobile device, among many other things.
With 18 members including 16 housing providers and over 500 Digital Champions, the DCN4H is an established working solution to train, develop and support Digital Champions in any community.
For Digital Champions the Network provides online courses to harness teaching skills, a moderated forum for peer-to-peer support, hundreds of resources to support the delivery of teaching sessions and evidence of the training for professional development.
For organisations it provides a simple way of tracking the Digital Champion activity on the ground and is a unique opportunity to collaborate with other members on the issue of digital inclusion, sharing best practice, resource, vision and possibility.
With its new look and enhanced functionality the DCN4H is now even more effective as a digital inclusion tool and an essential solution for getting more people online, now and for the long term.
RHP (Richmond Housing Partnership) joined the DCN4H in April, and Emily Ward, Customer Service Manager said: “We’ve been really keen to make our Digital Champions feel they are part of a team and a much wider programme which is where our involvement in the DCN4H has been very helpful. We’ve applied the DCN4H Digital Champion techniques to support progress for our learners week after week, so they are picking up new skills with each session and there’s a real buzz to these clubs.”
