Our annual round-up of the figures you need to know.

Digital inequality is complex and evolving - so it's crucial to be able to put some hard figures on the issues in the arguments and to understand what's happening in our digital lives. Every year we go through the major reports and compile the most relevant, useful and thought provoking figures. That answer questions like...

  • How many households struggle to afford broadband?
  • How many workers have the full set of essential skills for work?
  • How many people struggle to connect to WiFi?

As well as long term studies, like the Lloyds Consumer Digital report, we look at ones that are becoming increasingly important - like the Essential Digital Skills - and ones that look at what inclusion is in new ways, like the work around Minimum Digital Living Standards. We compile one page, with all the references at the bottom. We hope you find it useful!

Food for Thought

Here are some of the things that struck us this year. You'll find the thinking/ details on the page itself...

  • How big an issue is digital inclusion?
  • Why can't people can't up-skill bit by bit?
  • How come people with digital skills can learn digital skills?
  • What are the best ways to help the people who haven't got the skills?.

What do we do?

Find out how we can help you run successful digital inclusion programmes.
